Winter lg 4... Early Christmas Bonus ...

Weather perfect, and 5 of us off together. Tom, Ray H and 2 others I don't know. By the time we got to the bridge I knew we were overdoing it(at least I was), so decided to ease back and gather myself. The 2 young fellas went off into the ngt with Ray comfortably following, and myself & Tom started to get a good rthym going. At Seapark we were back on with RayH and one of the young fellas(who was dying fast after going off too hard). Felt easy going out to Friary with RayH &Tom. RayH upped it a little on Friary rd so I decided that I would stay with him until Seapark and hopefully I would work hard myself from there to the finish. Tom, ??? don't know when he fell out the back...
RayH got me to Seapark , me breathing hard, and he's under no pressure at all.. So from here on if I want my pre Christmas PB this is it IT'S my choice... 1.5 mls of racing at max without watch for HR....

Surging,tiring,holding,pushing,pushing,pushing

35'50.... absolutely delighted... and thanked RayH for it(I don't know was he ahead or behind me???)

Feeling great that Run/walk training has given me this, as it gives me confidence to continue with it and stay away from speedwork. Also, despite all the knackeredness of the very easy run/walks since marathon... Run/walk has obviously worked.(after only 10 days of run/walk rec runs.

Compare this to to the 3/4/5/6 wks it used to take to recover after previous marathon 6/7/ years ago. 18 years running and tonight is my best bounce back...
