When I asked if the course was marked in km or miles, the reply was "There aren't any markers, as everyone has GPS watches now"

Well I don't have a GPS watch, but very happy with my time & pacing overall :- ) Better than last yr, but made hard work of it, maybe went too hard at start ???.
I was lucky to have been able to drive the course the evening before the race and the course measured 21.9km driving it.???, I made a metal note of where the 5ml, & 10ml markers would be by measuring them from the start line. Loved the course, but....
5ml 37'10 37'10 3mles uphill
10ml 36'20 73'30 delighted
If I can do last 5k under 21'30 then I'll break 95'00
that would be brilliant on this course
13.1 23'17 96'47...
No f**king way was I 23'17 for last 5k.... HR hitting 169/170 all the way and all 5k was either flat or downhill
Course is definitely not measured right. A girl who ran it last year had said that it measured 22k...
