Woo! Great last xc of the season. Bloody hard work in awful conditions - cold cold wet and wind. Ran a much more even race. Started as quick as usual and felt able to keep it up throughout - didnt get the usual 15 guys passing me over the last mile. Battled it out in a small group of 5 of us over last couple of miles and actually managed to leave them behind up the big climb taking 2 more around the final field. 49th overall (ok so there were only 131 finishers but hey... TOP 50!). 5th club finisher beating PC for first time. Bring on the roads!
