The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Wasn't feeling it before the race. Would have preferred to have gone for an easy run along canal as felt undertrained.
Ran fast from the start and first bit out of the rugby club was 5.30ish pace. Route then kicked uphill for the rest of the 1st mile and was then up & down until SOuth Croxton when there was a big hill up by and past the pub.
Left calf (which wasn't feeling great following Tuesday's run) started to feel pulled. My head still wasn't really in it even though I was doing well so stopped at the top of the hill. Was going to bottle out.
Stopped for 20ish seconds and then decided to carry on. Slowed a little uphill on the next mile as calf was still sore.
As the course flattened and started to drop I pushed on, trying not to look too much at pace but I was catching the group I was with when I stopped.
Ran strong for the last 2 miles, passing a few, but was outsprinted to the line.
48.44 running time but 49.14 chip time due to the stop.
