Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Wardle Skyline Fell Race

DANBERT This was a clockwise circuit of the skyline of Watergrove reservoir.

It started in the square in Wardle village, went up the cobbled lane to the Dam of Watergrove Reser, left along the bottom of the damn and then up to Brown Wardle, Middle Hill, Rough Hill over Crook Moor and down to Shore then along the track to the finish in almost the same place as the start.

I guess as fell races go this would be classed as fast going most of the way though i found it tough particularly the boggy sections between Middle and Rough Hill. The 'sheer' climbing up Brown Wardle and Middle Hill meant i had to fast walk sections. The last half mile or so along the track to the finish seemed to go on forever. Glad i did it, it was an achievement.
