Ands Great run, first part fab, then a nasty straight up ascent, then great bit of 'off road' descent, hill (again) then fast downhill to finish. Felt like 8miles (and someone's Garmin said 8.1m). Not bee nto Hamsterly Forest before, and really enjoyed it, esp the peek at the fells on the top. My friend agreed (yesterday) to come with me, and it made my race to run along with her.

Grey Badger A shame that only 16 turned up for this race, Start was nice and flat for first 1/4 mile then straight up a mountain bike trail which was pretty steep. Got stuck behind a guy for the next 1/2 mile, was unable to pass on narrow path and lost time on the leaders. Rest of the route was pretty fast on forest roads and paths mainly. A very fast last 2 miles which i did in 10min 40sec. Finished 3rd.

scrappy excellent race, love the forest, race actually over 13k more than last year as the course was changed back to the original course....could do with a bit more fell than forest tracks
