Timex Women Only Triathlon

Highlanderchick Thoroughly enjoyed this event. Apart from the small hiccup of waiting to get into transition and getting set up that is. I got swam over a couple of times, then diving back in after the short run inbetween the 2 laps of 400m was a new experience in a wet suit. Once on the bike it was quite windy heading up along the lake side but once started back along the other side I felt like I was flying along. I was down on the tri bars for the majority of the 6 lap course, apart from to eat half a banana. The usual jelly legs to start after the bike but soon got into my stride, again the wind didn't help on the way out. Great day and great event. I took along a friend, and for her this was her first triathlon, she did the Sprint and thoroughly enjoyed it. A great first timer friendly event.
