Grey Badger Fell race starting and finishing at the Newcastle Hotel in Rothbury and running onto Simonside and back. £3 entry on the day. 11 miles. 1420ft or ascent and every foot of it was into the wind. Still just took it steady on the way out and kicked for home on the down hill/down wind leg. Passed quite a few people coming down and finished about 20th. Enjoyed it a lot. Well run by Paul Appleby and his helpers. Nice soup afterwards in the Newcastle Hotel. Will definately be doing this one again.
