Deejay Our first MM. 11.29 in the Kirkfell class. 72nd on day 1, 51st on day 2 overall 62nd. Worst moment was on day 3 when we ended up battling through man eating gorse above Haweswater and reached the ridge to find we were about a mile past the checkpoint. (Day 3? We weren't quite that slow!). Never noticed the rain on day 2 until the finish;-)

Evil Rich the Dog Dazer Two very different but enjoyable days in the Carrock Fell class. Kirsten was limping with her bad knee right from the start, but dug deep to keep going all weekend.

Day 1 - sunny, clear, no problem with navigation at all. Not much running, much bog-wading and tussock-hopping

Day 2 - torrential rain, gales, low clag, navigation had to be good....and I'm pleased to say it wasn't bad at all and we were pretty much consistent on both days in terms of placing. More runnable but poor K couldn't run :-/

loucass Both ran well and had a stronger run on day 2 but had a disaster finding our 1st control on day two as we had it marked slightly wrong on the map - lost about an hour looking for it gggrrrr. Great weekend though!

PhilB66 Carrock Fell class; officially 38.8km / 1560m
Two very contrasting days - Saturday warm, dry, clear; Sunday much colder, very windy with lashing rain and poor visibility.
Garth was struggling with low strength/energy on Day 1, but we hit navigation well to finish 9th and gain a place in my first ever chasing start. It was my turn to struggle on Day 2 and really zonked between the last 2 controls. Navigation generally good, though more sub-optimal route choices evident with hindsight... 20th on the day and 10th overall. A significant improvement on last year and generally very happy.
