HappyG(rrr) First race that I've done 3 times. I guess I've been running just over 2 years now to do that! Went slower last year than 2007, but XC's not about the time - it's about the mud. Lasswade Open is a lovely atmos as well, so looking forward to it! *Update: DNS as sore from the 5K the day before. Had a nice hill run in the rain instead!* :-)G TENTATIVE

Lexo Land of the Mud today(splendid). first real test of the XC season and reallly enjoyed myself. It absolutly chucked it down and didnt stop the whole time we were there...seemed much more comfortable than last season and got my pacing more on target for a change .Not a big fan of three lap courses but this seemed to fly by. some really tough sections underfoot and almost went flying a few times. Nice tough hill at the end of the lap which knocked the stuffing out of you. Steady first two laps and then mananged to pass a few runners on the third lap.absolutly covered in mud form head to toe lovely stuff. Hats off to all the brave souls who turned out today and also thanks to Ellem and Bob for braving the elements to snap some photies!
