High Peak Relay

Club		 PB SB Pred Time WAVA
SPKoF did the opening leg. 3.85 miles. two 0.75 mile climbs @ 1:8 gradient. Really p*ssed of with the lack of marshalling or even arrows at one point. At the farm road crossing by Broxendale farm there are diagonal paths. One is the high peak trail. The other is a farm road. both have the same surface. One was behind a closed gate and the other an open run through. Apparently I was supposed to *know* which way to go! What about the other 3 runners around me that did the same? After I'd finished the 2 time keepers were negotiating with a spectator to finish the time taking as the last few runners weren't in and they had to go to another changeover. So because the last few runners were slower than the bulk they don't deserve proper time keeping by race officials? I understand this event must be a logistical nightmare but today was way below the standard I've come to expect from LARA and David Denton.
