Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Crumpet This was the first time I had entered this race. The weather was terrible which didn't help. I was pleased to finish as I got lost on the bike course however I think this was my worst race. Not sure I would do it again.

Yellow Fang This is a three leg MTB duathlon around Goring, near Reading. I wasn't sure I was even going to make it because I got up late. I forgot to take the rack off my bike. It felt easier than usual, maybe because it's often quite hot. I ran up all the hills, which were very steep. I was a bit frustrated on the cycle ride because I was held up by the congestion on the Thames Path. This is a problem caused by the number of relay teams and the narrowness of that section of the route. I made up a lot of places on the bike leg. It's not particularly technical though. I made up two places on the last leg but was overtaken once. I was pleased not to walk any of it, or to get involved in any sprints for the finish. The chap ahead of me said we came in the top ten, which would be a best for me. The time seemed to be slightly down on last year, but so were a lot of people's because of the muddy conditions. I technically became a Hairy Legs legend after completing five of them. I stayed around and chatted to my TVT clubmates. Sharkey came 2nd this year. It tipped down so I was pleased to be offered a lift back by Richard.
