Blister I really hope this was actually 10K, if so then I would have taken nearly 2 minutes off my 10K PB on a x-country course!. I thought I had an ok run but not that great because I was surrounded by vets and very few senior males! But I guess I ran better than I thought, finished 53rd out 152 - the winner did 31:14, the guy who came second did 31:58 and he is a 32 minute 10k runner. I lapped a few runners too. The course was a fairly flat with a few steep banks but mostly dry grass and few sections of concrete so spikes were not really a good idea, hence a few broke off. I think this was a good start to my x-country season, bring on the next. Oh and our team finished 6th.

Highland Lad My first cross country race, bought my spikes 15 minutes before the start! I wasn't sure of what pace I should be aiming at so just went for it and figured it out as I went along. Very pleased with my time. Conditions were perfect, quite dry underfoot and an ideal temperature.
