Twoleftfeet The Gill Pimblott Memorial 5K trail run takes place at the village of Gin Pit, an old mining village (indeed the trail is run on the site of the mine). The recent cold snap did nothing to deter the 80 or so chilly souls that stood shivering on the start line, but after a nice climb to start, we soon warmed up! It was fairly tough going, with the ground still frozen in places and plenty of icy puddles to deal with. Organised by Astley Runners, it was a friendly and well marshalled event, hopefully raising a few quid for a local childrens' cancer charity.
