Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Lexo This was a tough race. Started off very pleasantly with the first few miles undulating towards the bottom of the Hill then the majority of the next four miles or so is off road on a combination of tracks and fields. The wind was very strong which made for some comedy running and the uphill sections were completed at a crawl. Well done to the poor/brave/foolish marshalls particularly the bloke at the top of the hill who looked like he was going to fly away at any point!! Did quite well on the uphill sections but had some issues on the descent with some Kamikazee Runners cartwheeling past at a fair pace. Last few miles were nice and speedy and came in just over 1:15 so not far outside my PB, although that was achieved at Balllater another tough run, They dont seem to make any easy 10 milers and this is no exception. Overall really enjoyed thid race as was very rewarding and challenging due in particular to the windy conditions.

Mr. White They should've had a camera at the top of the hill, there were some comedy faces running into a mentally strong side wind, it reminded me of the top of the Cairngorms, but without the horizontal hail. It's also the only time I've been blown up a hill and then had to accelerate back down it - BUT I'm not grumbling, it was a great race, with good marshalling and the pre and post race facilities were good too. Definitely be back next year.
