Delamere Dash Trail Race

jolguk Ive just guessed at the time as I forgot to press the stop button. I'm not worried, though, as even if I hadn't had a cold, and barely trained for months, the ice would have put paid to any speed. I think this race should have been cancelled, given the ridiculous amount of ice, and the lack of toilets and the fact that the front runners were sent the wrong way (although I think they ran closer to 6 miles than the rest of us did) means that I found it a bit of a shambles. Still pretty, though, so I'll probably come back next year anyway.

Nick B The ice on the route was extensive making running both harzardous and slow. Completed race anyway, would be surprised if there weren't a few injuries for some people, suspect it would have been better all round if it had been cancelled. Delayed start and car park also badly iced over. It also appears that course may only have been 5.3 miles according to some finishers, who I have assumed had GPS data.
