faithfulred Cursa El Corte Ingles (Barcelona) 10.934km. Killer route, with over 4k up a mountain! Together with the heat, this was a tough race. Not helped by the fact that I had the beginnings of shinsplints before the start, and ended the race hardly able to walk. Organisation was terrible, with only those owning a chip being allowed to start near the front. The rest were all mixed together, whether they were aiming for a sub-45 or aiming to walk it. With over 57,000 runners and everyone mixed together, it made the start of the race almost intolerable. Also, people were cutting corners at almost every corner!
