DrDebs pace run. went off a lot slowly than in recent races, but struggled big time with tummy issues! Nearly pulled out at 2km, but Emma told me to breathe. And i could do it. Clung on to her, but really felt like quitting. The stitch/abdo pains were horrendous - ??nerves??? clung on and then at 8km, the pain shifted from the right to the left and i managed to pick up the pace again. Went by Em at 9km - felt very guilty for doing that to her and only managed a win by the skin of my teeth. Hat off to Em for being such a great friend and sportswoman. Need to look at food/coffee/nerves to what is causing gut troubles. Windy night. Twisty course, but flat.

Impossible is Nothing Felt good - think am finally over marathon. Lungs felt fine but legs lacking some pace. Overall ok, hoping for a little faster but feel ready to up training now. Result 37th out of 339
