Gogsy! That was soooo tough! I might have achieved a PB here but there was no way I could have beaten the 2 hour mark without Peter Ward - top bloke! - I sat on his shoulder all the way round & he practically carried me through miles 9 to 11! Well done to everyone who bet on me ... that was so risky, I didn't even bet on myself! Special mention to Supervixen - you never give up, do you? Great attitude!

PeterWard5 Great race. Was nice to meet up with fellow Fetchies Gogsy and Supervixen prior to the race. Was great running and chatting with Gogsy and in fairness I think he carried me around as much he says I carried him :-). I certainly would not have pushed as hard late on without him there. Was great to see him get under the 2 hours (given the profile of the latter miles of the race thats worth more than that for my money on a flat course!!). Well stuck at it Supervixen. I think I saw you as we were driving home. Well done everyone. It was a toughy but I am glad that I did it. Will do it again next year. Cheap good value for money and very cheerful and a hard race. Anyone in that area needs to do it to make it a popular race. It deserves it.

Supervixen (Watch time) Thanks everyone for the support......and waiting behind for me in the rain!! gogsy thanks for the fetchy support! Was a tough race, hamstring went at 2 miles and was vitiually unbearable by 10. so had to walk the last 3 miles nearly, first time I have had a police and bike escort round a complete race. Determined to finish thoug...even if it was Monday by that time :) Put me off a bit and now reconsidering my running career.
