Pile of vomit on the ground in front of it notwithstanding, I've always felt the synapse was not a strictly 'practical' bike but more a conventional 'second roadie for when the weather's too shit for the best roadie' type bike which has been forced into a truly 'practical' role.
HAVE YOU REMOVED THE REFLECTORS FROM THE WHEELS YET??????

"Buy more kit" was at the forefront of my mind when I pooped into Decathlon last night to drop off fliers for our upcoming 10k race (30th Goosefair Gallop Sunday October 9th if your interested). I spent more time than was strictly necessary looking at (and touching) this bike...

Nice Nicholls, however WHEN you take ownership :-), DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE THAT RED BAR TAPE ON THE DROPS, for all love.
Reccers, no problems. Although Gobi is right, if you haven't got a big aerobic base from several years of consistentr endurance training then best bang for buck will be Z1/2, lots of it. Kicking down the gate of hurtville can wait until that base is well and truly built.

Yes I have TRO. In commute mode I have all the spacers in and it is as practical as a sportive bike can be as a commuter workhorse. Lovely well-tempered bike that deserves a better life than it has.
I commute on the Brommie in the winter now so the Synapse becomes, to use your excellent expressions, a conventional 'second roadie for when the weather's too shit for the best roadie' type bike. Still commute on it (complete with rack and pannier) in the summer mind.

Can we all take turns to be married to Recoil's wife around our birthdays?

Yes, let's ask Recoil if his wife is a goer? Is she from Purley? Nudge nudge
