Enigma My first ever hillrace. It was a club only event, arranged to promote hill running to folks like myself who quite like the idea but are a bit apprehensive. Anyway, it was great fun. A tough course with climbing almost from the start. My lungs were the limiting factor on the ascent, the legs were willing but the lungs just couldn't keep up. Once to the top, the breating settled down and I bowled along nicely. Round the turning point and then back over the flat summit to begin the descent. It was a bit hairy in places, but the Walsh's had fantastic grip so there were no slides or falls. I finished in 7th place and got the prize for 1st novice. :) My feet are killing me. I need to find something that are more comfortable than the Walsh's but just as grippy. Unaffiliated 37:09 37:09 37:09 45.37
