Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

PB at Thorney 5. Like this race as although boring was my first ever running race in 2008. Had a target of 35 mins and wanted to pace at 7m/m. As usual start was very fast and had to keep slowing down as was 6.30m/m pace for a while. Stuck to my race plan and didn't get carried away by runners in front who I thought should be behind me. Nice and even miles although mile 4 was a bit slow, start of mile 4 and Jade fell over in front of me, stopped to check she was ok before running on. Increased the pace during last mile and although tired felt I could have gone quicker. Garmin time gives me a PB of 78 secs and 105 secs quicker than this race last year. Very pleased with time and felt like I am eventually learning how to pace properly without going off to fast. Team prizes for WJ second place both mens and ladies and congrats to JH who won along with Eli 3rd lady and Jude 1st V50 lady. Lots of PB's throughout WJ so big well done to all and cakes very plentiful and tasty at the end thanks to Carol, Claire and Jude.

Great run swerver-really pleased went so well and that was even with very kindly stopping to check on Jade - I can see you chipping away at that PB easily with the forthcoming frostbites!
