Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Stevierobbo Brilliant race!Only my 2nd ever road race. The first 1 being the Trimpell 20! My performance in the East Hull confirmed that my VLM training was going well and also that my time in the Trimpell 20 was not a fluke.

Strong first half. Hedge break added a couple of minutes then probably went too first to catch pacing partner (which I didn't) at 16/17 dodgy right calf went pop so took some pain killers. 19 hurt a lot but managed to get some speed into mile 20. Neagative split of 44 seconds. All in all OK as long as calf does not flare up.

East Hull Harriers do a great job of putting on this event. Good marshalling and plenty of water (in bottles). They even put on a buffet afterwards.

WACA I really need to be able to run 2.13 to prove to myself I can get close to 3 hours in London.***Well that was close! Pretty much all I can manage, someone from Doncaster really paced me in from 16.5 to 19 at 6.35 min miling but the London will be close but think I'll just be out by up to 5 mins or so, we'll see. Great run, super effort by Pock runners and well marshalled as usual:-)

Dickie York Good fast course, can be very exposed and windy in places!
Going well so far this season, good pre-VLM training run to see what race day pace will be like.
Update: Great PB run! Well marsalled and organised as usual. Plenty of water and a great little buffet at the finish, what more can you ask for!
Windy around the 16-19 mile mark on the disused railway (no suprise there) slowed my pace a bit along there, then the little climb at 19.5 miles back onto the main road was 'fun'.
Great day for running.
