Fizz :-)
It’s probably because no one is racing, so no real juggling of positions possible.

Nah this has been happening for month. I get promoted to the relegation zone then immediately relegated to the promotion zone.

I doubt there's anything wrong with the game Baz, it's just that your times in the last year are too good for one division, and not good enough for the other division. If you had improved a few of your times you would have stayed in the higher division, and if some of your best times dropped off the rolling 12 months you'd stay in the lower division.

Of course it depends what others around about the same times as you are doing, when their best times drop off and whether they run any fast times.

As all racing cancelled, then it will be last years times dropping off that will affect any movement

Sigh
I've been bouncing between Div 14 & 15 for months, but that's okay, it'll settle down eventually.

I've been doing a bit of bouncing too (between div 19 and 20), because my only current race times are for 5k and an interpolated mile time.

If I went out and did a half marathon, even if I only walked it, I'd collect enough points to move from 18th to 2nd, and therefore up into div 18. And if that half was inside 2hr20 (slower than any of my training runs), I'd be in div 17 by the following week.

As others have said, sometimes it just happens that way until your next big event.

My 5k time from last year is going to disapear in about 5 weeks and this years race is cancelled so I am going drop.

Would adding a 5k Parkrun from the last 12 months be cheating?

@mr d, absolutely not. EA recognise them for RunBritain rankings.

Cheers sigh, I'll have a trawl through and find my best, which won't be as good, but better than nothing.

fetch, could you create your own HM race (say, running/walking 100 times around your garden) complete the race, then enter the result and move up to 2nd? :-p
Of course, that may not be in the spirit of the game ;-)

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
Start in the bottom division, and compete over seven different distances against your rivals for weekly promotion!

How It Works
1) The game takes your best times from training and racing over the last 12 months.

2) If you've got the fastest 5k in your division, you get 20 points. If you're second fastest, you get 19 points, etc.

3) Your FIVE best scores are used to calculate your total. So if your scores at each distance are 20,20,20,20,20,10,5 the lowest two are discarded, and your total points would be 100.

4) Promotion and relegation happen every Monday at midday.
