About me... well I am a geordie lass (or geordiegirl) I first joined fetch when I struggled with ill-health and I know it was the Fetch community that kept me going. Can’t quite believe I’ve been here 16yrs! I have finally joined the ranks of trying to become an ultra runner!!! In June 2021 I did a 100k - Race to the Castle with my ultra bud NellieJane, in June 2022 I conquered The Wall OMG it was another level the road was tough but the end I felt so amazing. Signed up to do Jordan Ultra Challenge in 2024 with Nelliejane and I’m so excited about this one. Describe your ideal run, ride or swim. Run would undoubtedly be across the fells and woodland I am lucky enough to live close to. Nothing to think about but the ground in front of my feet. Of course running with someone is also great, esp when I run with my mum or friends. |

A very emotional parkrun, we tragically and sadly lost a club friend this week to her mental heath struggles. I don’t do parkrun often but the club turned out in support of her husband and children. We hugged cried and pondered at this beautiful shining light of a lady had to deal with such trauma she saw no other way. I hope you’re at peace now beautiful lady, you will be missed forever.

With Magsy. We wanted the 15k garmin badge so thought today was a good day…. Legs day from CG really make my legs heavy! We did the woods and fells - muddy, overgrown and I’d forgotten how hilly it was and the recent heavy rains has washed footpaths away so felt like I was on Crib Goch at one point. Out through a field where they’re building housing estate so battling with footpaths that were hidden - definitely an adventure run!
