Dvorak Excellent conditions for the first official Edinburgh parkrun. Ran very evenly and enjoyed the run. Great to see some new Fetchies (and the old ones), well done to the volunteers. PB here another day.

Great first running of Edinburgh Parkrun. Superb marshaling and the weather couldn't have been better.
Very nice friendly event.

Loved it. Very pleased with how legs felt, and a season's best 5k for me :-)

Fat Boy Superb event and a fantastic fast course. Finished 8th and delighted with time. A very good turnout of about 150 - 200 runners for the first Parkrun in Edinburgh and we were all very lucky with ideal weather conditions.

keyring First Edin Parkrun. Very well attended, great route, weather, chat etc. Really chuffed with pb and will be there as ofetn as possible through the winter. Only wee issue might be the tag/recording if the numbers stay high as the queue was pretty lengthy.

rleyton Woo! PB by 20 odd seconds. Lovely flat course (quite the novelty ;-). Chuffed to bits. Well done to all involved, great to see 400 runners in Scotland (about 200 at both Edinburgh and Glasgow) taking part in parkrun. Next stop... Where? Go on, get involved, you know you want to.

Triplet Dad Great first Edinburgh Parkrun, lovely to have this race so close. Turned up expecting to marshall so wasn't prepared to run but enjoyed it immensely anyway, a beautiful crisp clear morning, couldn't have been better.

About this parkrun

Flat and fast, out and back course with a loop at the far end. Along the sea-front, can be windy and normally a head wind on the way back. Definitely PB potential if not windy.
K5 Gus 8th Jan 2019

Pancake flat out and back run, but feels a bit relentless as almost inevitably wind in one of the directions. Easy parking, road shoes and remember the 9:30 start if you don't live in Scotland!
twinny 17th Mar 2019

Out and back course like a lollipop, flat, busy, but thins out quickly. Can be windy on the way back.
Ally-C 23rd Mar 2019

Flat and fast, hope for a lack of wind (unlikely)
Mr J 20th Apr 2019

Run down the handle of the frying pan, round the pan, and back up the handle. Pancake flat ;-) Nice views of the sea, and good parking nearby.
fetcheveryone 28th May 2019

If you get a day with no wind, then hello PB! Otherwise, be prepared to struggle.
Deinonychus 28th May 2019

Very busy, very flat. Lovely views when there's good visibility, which can be touch and go!
sparklecloud 11th Feb 2020

Decent parkrun. Looks like a lollipop.
RunningRonnie 16th Feb 2020

undulating
Janicerun 7th Mar 2020

Can be quite busy. Starts at Sliverknowes and runs along the promenade beside the Forth. Out and back. Very flat but exposed so can be windy. On a calm day you’ll not get a faster course Several cafe options but don't go to the Boardwalk Beach Club.
