Geococcyx I broke my 7 year PB, but still didn't have a great race! I now know why eating a big curry the night before a race is not a good idea. I felt dehydrated and queezy throughout the race and the lack of training in June due to my ankle injury also had an affect on my time. However, the fitness I gained earlier in the year still let me manage to take 24 seconds off my PB.

POB1976 This will be my 3rd year. Well organised and a great 10k. It was my 1st ever none training run so will keep coming back.

RunningBob I really want to like this race as Manchester deserves a good big race (as opposed to the expensive walk that is the GMR). But they really need to sort out the course - wasted lots of time weaving between crowds of slower runners that I was lapping - difficult to focus when you can no longer see your targets ahead. But great finish on the track, well marshalled and definitely worth a go. Finished 13th. 1st V40 but the V45 and leading lady sprinted away from me.

Sk8tergirl Good race, bit congested at the beginning, but liked the decreasing laps. Wasn't expecting the ramp into the stadium at the end though, nearly finished me off!
