I'd rather use that money to try and do Western States or something similar (Thinking of cost of whole process rather than just the event). Think Arch2Arc would still work out more expensive

But I am thinking, well, if you are one of these driven and money no object types, you'd actually think this was soft, and too easy. Maybe there is a market amongst people who will probably largely walk it and want to be told how absolutely amazing they are for doing it and what an incredible challenge it was. (If the organisers were then going to recycle the money and take a thousand youths from deprived areas to do the same challenge (without butlers and chandeliers), I might think there was some worth in it. But that does not appear to be the case.)
