The date of birth is completely wrong though, but isn't 1/1/70. Suggests that they fixed the unix epoch error, but possibly got the code a bit more confused somewhere and have screwed up with dates being converted to US format or something.

Interesting you say it sets your Date of Birth to 1st of Jan 1970 😂 (that's the start of the "unix epoch" and is a commonly seen date, especially when things aren't working) My place in the VLM is extra shiny because I got it through the Fetch Everyone Running Club 😍 It says on the FAQ you can't transfer club places so I guess I can continue guilt free to try to make use of it... whenever it is!
