Well the training paid off! This is a PB for me.

Really annoyed with myself for my inability to keep a racing line and add pesky extra steps to what is already a long race...On a more positive note, my aim was to keep to 8:30min/mile for the whole race and although I slowed towards the end however the average is 8:32min/mile overall - so not too bad..

Conditions were perfect, lots of WJ support throughout the course which was wonderful. Started with Totley who disappeared into the distance after about 3 miles, then was joined by Paul and Rick (?) who I ran with for most of the race, til about 11 miles. Nice to have company and attract more "Come of WJ" cheers too.

My 10 miles "time" on the garmin is also a 10 mile PB for me - so need to try and replicate at Fenland 10 in a few weeks - fingers crossed!
