About this parkrun
My home run and my favourite- fast, flat one lapper. For a PB it's the place to be. Can be busy at peak times (over 500 on Christmas day) but there's space for everyone. Super easy parking really close to the start. Road shoes preferable!twinny 28th Dec 2018
I have only ever run this event on Christmas Day but it has been an enjoyable flat fast run mostly on tarmac but with some non-tarmac areas which can get pretty muddy and have large puddles.

A flat course on mostly tarmac with some patches of sound gravel. Single lap but several loops within the park A bit tight for space at some points but wide enough mostly. Nice pond with ducks and geese.

Decent parkrun. Bit too congested in places but a fast and flat course. Usually only do it on Christmas Day or if Stretford is cancelled though.

Winding, slightly disorientating course, but nice and flat. Very easy to get to on public transport from central Manchester.

2 flat laps of a park with encouraging stewards all the way round

One of few I've done that you don't repeat laps. 1 large lap taking different routes around the park. Flat and mostly very good paths. Great volunteers and not too busy.

Now a 2 lapper, very flat with a 500m section on gravel that's run twice. Quick, easy to park. Narrows down after about 500m so if you want a fast time get a good starting position.
