Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Che dragon Nice flat course, well marshalled and great shirt. I went off too fast and suffered in the wind coming back. I wish I'd known that bloke was shouting out our 10k times as I would have remembered it!

ianmac Excellent race, enjoyed it. Splits were: 5:56/6:00/5:58/6:03(23:58 4M)/6:11(30:09 5M)/6:10 (36:20 6M)/6:18/5:59. The 4M was the fastest for 9 years, the 5M was 1s faster than a 5M race in December.

jinxsi Was on target for sub 1 hour at 6 miles but pushing into the wind took its toll and I just couldn't get there. Tried to push on through mile 7 but not enough, alas. Excellent race, all flat, good organisation, nice T shirt. Spookily I was in school in this part of the World and met someone from schooldays who I hadn't seen for 30 years, so that was an added bonus. 5m split in 36:57, 10k split in 46:46. Results were online before I got home....wow!

Lloyd. well marshalled/organised.
my first race i've done for the second time, nice to be able to compare last years time.
found the race very tough, didn't run well at all, much prefer a course with a few hills.

runningman69 This was the 12th time ive run this race, great to see that its still being well supported. I know I am in sub 52 shape but it was'nt to be today. My groin injury continues to hold me back after last weeks x country. my pb for this course is 48.20, had to settle for 54.16. I'll be back next year that for sure!!!!!!

Sime Good race, ran an even pace for each mile, upped the pace for the last mile, Rob did me in a sprint finish, just didn't have the legs to go with him when he sprinted. Pretty good considering not much training over the last week or so because Seren was born, and lack of sleep!

Tatws Went out too fast - managed to stay around 7.30 for the 1st couple of miles and then dropped off to just below 8 min miles. Need to work on the pacing issues. Found it hard around the 4 - 5 miles point but picked up again after 6 miles and to the finish.

The_Saint Note to self - don't try to run a Marathon the previous day, stop after 13.1 and think you'll be in shape to run a race the next day

WildeRover How the hell did that happen? Slow, sluggish etc, then turn in a time over a minute quicker than last year and one of my best ever.

Oh, the race........flat, flat, flat, same, same, same, fast, fast, fast.

Very well marshalled - useful and helpful instructions, good encouragement, and accurate advice on distance run/to go (which is a particularly big tick in my book)

Also nice to have the 10K times called out as you go through.

And of course, long sleeve t-shirt.

Lucky Fetch shirt does it again.
