Marts no idea what to expect in terms of 25 laps and pacing vs racing etc. would like to keep up 88s laps (36:40 pace) for as long as possible. UPDATE. BRONZE!!!! OK so there were only 4 seniors and I knew 2 of them were a class apart from me but I'd finished in front of the other guy in a 3000m last month and decided to race him for the bronze rather than go out to lay down a time and possibly miss out. started at my own pace. was 15s down after 7 laps but kept the faith and worked through to overtake him after 12 and a bit laps then extended advantage and came home as 3rd senior and got the bronze badge to stitch on my kitbag/top/vest as appropriate. Well chuffed. I know time not great but you can only beat who turns up. Overall was 5th of about 12-14 runners. Time 37:56.2. day went a bit flat after that for me with 3.05m Long Jump and 3 no throws in the javelin. vvvv proud of OH Jane who did 3.22m long jump and 17.3s 100m of absolutely no training whatsoever (she wore her trainers for the 1st time today and they are the 1st pair of trainers she has ever owned!!!)
