Blodwen Was supposed to be running 6 miles in training, so thought I'd enter this on the spur of the moment. Found it very hard work - a personal worst time over this distance! Enjoyed the event, & most of the route, but found I really suffered in the heat (plus had a bad tummy the day before). Found the run over the bridge towards Penarth odd - amazing views of the Bay & the Barrage, but at the end of the day it's still a dual carriageway! (And uphill for most of it too! ...And in full sunshine....) Got interviewed by TV crew at about 9K, which is why my chip time was a bit slower than this! 1hr 12min 17sec to be exact! Fame! :-)

Curly Kate Wasn't aiming for a PB considering the heat and that I did a good time last week. But somehow I did it! Could have been closer to 56:00 I think, if it wasn't for a crippling stitch which came on around the last 700m and really slowed me down. Very annoying! Good run though. I especially appreciated the

Puff79 Race day was very hot and the hills were a bit of a killer but the scenery was pretty good and the spray of water on the barrage bridge very welcome. After around 2km I didn't think I would manage a PB due to the heat so was pleased that I managed it, even if only by a small margin. Sharp turn at the end wasn't too pleasant. Could have been better organised in terms of signposts and the toilet queues were a little long.

pullo Got a 49:50 Sunday at Magor marsh don't think i,ll better that time next Sunday at Great Wales Run. Race went very well even on such a hot day thrilled with time 48:43 alterations to course made it quicker than last year and more senic, expensive but overall a good package
