Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

anne23 Why not? Nice route round places I used to know. Done a 16.5 mile training run now so I know I should be able to cope with the distance. Decision made: 10mm with a sprint finish at the end if by some miracle I can manage it.

Cazros Perhaps not as enjoyable as other times I've done this race - it was a bit too crowded and when the race is run along footpaths with reduced overtaking possibilities, this is a bit of a problem. Also pretty wet along the towpath, which again didn't help. For me though, a perfect race and real confidence builder for FLM - pacing, fuelling, everything went really well and finished feeling strong and (i hope) capable of another 10 miles! Finish area, goodies etc were, as always, very well organised....

Cormorant It seemed like a very early morning when we left but it was worth it for a well-organized race round a nice flat route. I feel off the pace for the FLM and so was really grateful for the support from other runners as I flagged in the last miles. I'm just sorry Gray aggravated his calf injury and pulled out two miles in.

Debster training run for FLM 08. Pleased with result as started off with 11 min milers then speeded up. Feel like sub 4.45 is a realistic target now!

John66 16m - frightening. Anyone want to pace me to a 3hr finish?

Blog later - JenJ paced me again. Last 3 miles(ish) where the hardest ever. SO glad I didn't downgrade though

MumOnTheRun glorious day for a run. Weather couldn't have been better. Stuck with 9m/m pacer until about 11m and then picked it up a bit. That's it now - tapering for FLM begins!
