Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fetch: according to Wikipedia (and merrily skipping past the ⚠️"this page has multiple issues"⚠️messages) it's commonly 20m: en.wikipedia.org

Funny enough, for entirely different reasons that having nothing whatsoever to having reading about various marathon-in-your-back-garden stories, I've just measured mine.

From the side gate to the steps at the end is... 20 metres!

Hmmm... 🤔

Hey
I have 2 light kettlebells and was wondering if I use wrist/ankle weights on my arms (from a dim and distant past!) with the kettlebells is that helping or hindering?
Would like to increase the weight but not keen on buying more but also don't want to do any damage either!

oh and is low weight high reps just as good as high weight low reps?
Cos if increasing the reps and sets is just as good I might just do that! LOL

Low weight / high reps is a stamina circuit. High weight / low reps is a strength circuit. Which makes them different games really.

I don’t use the weights work for weight loss, Pix, so I don’t know about this aspect. For me, I have done weight training over the past 9 or 10 years or so purely for improving my muscle strength which has certainly helped improve my running. I stick with high reps with relatively low weights. Depending on the exercise I use dumbbells weighing between 3 and 10kgs. Three sets of reps, usually 12 to 15 reps.

Hope my waffling helps.
