Up to Division 20 and the associated badge. This is one where hardly anyone has more than 4 distances covered so if have a full house you’ll likely get a promotion….

In Div23 with a couple fast times soon to drop off. Sitting 4th. Div24 promotion placers don’t concern so at least next week I can sit in promotion. Then I just need the three who go up next Monday to keep progressing up and clearing their way and I can start to get to Div20 and some badges finally! |

Decent 10K yesterday has dragged me out of the relegation zone in D6 but pos 4 means no promotion. The 10K improved my points on it, and 5 mile and the 5K (which shows how soft my 5K was / is!) Almost any pace in a HM would help. But I'd have to go some in a 5K to improve. Strangely 10 of us have no marathon time in D6. So a 10 hour marathon would get me 10 points. Maybe I should just go for a very long walk?! G |

Lol, even the mile was in the 10K. So 5K and mile both need refreshing, but not really much chance to do so. Whatever happened to Fetch miles?! 6 Oct my club does a 2 mile time trial. It's 3 days before my half marathon, so would be during taper. Might be OK to do it and hopefully improve the mile time? And any flat parkrun would do, wouldn't it? My 10K was quite a negative split, so actually the second 5K was quicker than anything I've done on a parkrun for a couple of years! G

Found my level in Div2. Relegation will come in time as others climb up the divisions.

orbness Welcome to 20! My plan for this year was to fill in all the blanks leading up to the London Marathon but my left ankle & right knee decided otherwise… I’ll still be doing London but walking rather than running and walks don’t seem to count for UTMOST. ☹️ |

The would in Div I'm in Dave - 10 people with no mara time, including me. Slowest is 5:46. So 10 points on offer for any time, including slower than 5:46 Sorry you have had injuries. G

You're a special case Gobi (as in ultra national and international level runner, now only wins shorter races and things with bikes involved - pretty unusual case!) I think most folk in Fetch (totally made up statistic - more than half?) would be doing a marathon in any given year? It's kinda what almost all the running and training threads are based? I haven't done one since 2019, though I had one as a charity plod in 2020, cancelled due to you know what. And not put anything in until now due to the same C19 hangover too really. G |
