Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Glad to hear you are OK Jilly - sorry to hear you were poorly. Funnily enough, when I got back to my B&B, the landlady said she thought someone had been taken ill as she'd seen the ambulance, but I didn't know who it was. It was very warm in places - I caught the sun despite lathering on the sun cream.

Well done everyone on a tough but enjoyable race - I was really looking forward to this, and I wasn't disappointed. I think that was partly due to not caring about how long it took me, and just having a nice long Sunday run :-)

Thanks for kind messages. Good to meet "She runs for cake" on the day. Good luck for GNR later in the year.

Not for nothing did RW runners vote this best 2007 race. I returned after a 9-year absence and it took be 14 minutes longer :) Still, apart from sunburn on my scalp & face, I'm none the worse. Enjoyed meeting Fetchies in the beer garden at the 'Red Lion'. Next year? Even with a 300-mile round trip on the day, it's v. tempting. Well run, all. :)

Knacked was definitely the look of the day :) Had a snooze just outside Morpeth on the way home to avoid that 'asleep at the wheel' situation - and ran 9 miles off road this morning ;) I can't have tried hard enough y'day....
