It's been 11 years since I ran a marathon but I did Leicester twice - I think Vrap's 2007 would have been on the old in the city route that went up the Great Central Way. Enjoyed the variety of both that and the current route. One of my two favourite running moments was the end of the 2007 Marathon when a clubmate caught me and we sprinted the final 150m. He just beat me but we took 12 seconds out of the guys behind us coming up from University Rd

Perhaps strava-(pay)gate will send a few more this way. So long as they don't start pinching my conquercise zones. It's very frustraing at the moment as I'm laid up from running, and my study looks over Vicky park, so I can see those who can run ceaselessly going past...
