The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
I guess you're maybe wondering when the next podcast will be, given that we haven't put one out there since mid-November.
We've decided to take a podcasting break for now. Both Katie and I felt that, although you folks have always been very kind and lovely, there's a limit to how much we could talk about our own stuff. On top of that, my time is pretty limited, the site is as busy as always, so I have to try to squeeze the drops out of every minute. And Katie has changed things with her work - so that she's working on Mondays now. I think she would have carried on doing the edit after our recording, because she's proper lovely - but it did take up several hours of her time every week.
We have been very kindly sent a couple of MOTM recordings (Corrah interviewing The Scribbler; and LindsD interviewing HappyG). Our plan is to sandwich those together into one big... sandwich... and post those as a final podcast some time soon.
It's been at the back of my mind now since Christmas, and feeling a bit guilty about it - but there, I've said it now. Sorry folks.
You have to do the right thing for yourselves. Thank you for being honest with us as always. I really enjoy your podcasts and it doesn't matter how much you talk about yourselves, that is the point of the podcast along with encouraging the rest of us too.
No problem Ian and Katie. There is only so far you can take things and you have to select your own priorities (that is the perk of being your own boss). It'll be great to hear those two MoM recordings and we'll just drop the rest.
I've still got two "best of 2020" podcast mixes on my listening list for when I'm lonely out on a run.
I can understand that. I know The Scribbler wanted to do the recording of my MOTM interview but work has got really busy for her and I don't want to take up too much of her time. I really love listening to the podcasts but I understand how busy you must be so there's no need to apologise.
From what I can see from the outside of the many podcasts I listen to, it is a massive commitment.
Thank you for the memories - every episode has been such a great listen. But given the choice, I'd rather you put your efforts into keeping the website (and it's community) awesome.

Contributors We love getting contributions. Here's how:
1) find somewhere with minimal background noise 2) recording on a smartphone is fine 3) start with "Hello Fetchies, it's..." 4) a couple of minutes is a good length 5) don't worry about ums, aahs and pauses. We can edit them out. 6) email the file to podcast@fetcheveryone.com
