Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes, why isn't it GA? if its got to be aerobic then heart rate musn't go above 75% WHR, is that right?

I've just been doing all the general aerobic runs at below 70% WHR. P&D recommends between 65% and 78% for these runs. Its worked well for me and my pace on these runs has improved alot since starting the schedule.

Im on the second last week of the taper now and its worked well for. My 10k time has improved from 43:45 to 41:57. This has been using time trials when a race has'nt been possible. I've really enjoyed doing it. Its been hard but then Marathon training is hard. I think the schedule has got me to be as prepared as I possibly could be.

Thanks folks. I'll have a play with the HR and get these paces sorted out.

Did a 10k last night - absolute rubbish!! 3.5 minutes slower than the last time I ran that course! But at least I've got a good starting point now to see how my speed improves with focussed training.

oh cool, I was thinking of using that one for my next marathon, the 24 week one just seems too long.

Has anyone done the after marathon schedule? Got my marathon next Sunday and was thinking of following it.

Dont think I'll be following the final week of the taper. It still seems fairly hard for a taper. Just did my final medium long run of 12 miles.
