Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

March Frostbite. New course to me and it was OK, but I never know what shoes to wear for mixed terrain races, it was a bit slippy on the grass sections with the LR's, but then I would have been slower on the road bits with the Inov8's.

I got stuck behind a few idiots at the start who decided they should stand right at the front and then set off at a snails pace, so I lost a lot of ground in the first quarter mile, otherwise I was happy enough with the run today, felt pretty good and it's always nice overtaking people throughout the race:-) I was within range of a couple of runners in the last mile, but just didn't have any grip on the grass to catch them:-(
(I should clarify that when I say "idiots" I mean these runners who insist on starting right at the very front when they know there is no prospect of them finishing in a similar position!)

No it certainly wasn't you Diane! Sorry, it sounds rude reading it back now, when I said idiots, I meant a couple of runners in particular who came and stood infront of me right at the front and then set of very slowly.

Strong consistent running John and thanks for the lift and company today

It wasn't all grass Ian, the 2 faster miles were on the road, but I am happy with the run this time of year;-)

Well run mate, nothing worse than getting held up at the start, in most cases it's time lost you can never get back!
Cazaroo
I got held up too, it is frustrating, and can't do much for their confidence either! It was a nice flat course, but I know what you mean re footwear, lots of different terrain, my legs weren't to happy in the f-lites on the concrete farm track!!
