Notes & Comments

Tewkesbury Half
Ran with Velociraptor.
Plan was for aiming for 7:20's and see how we went.
First 4 miles were spot on, and V was running easily. Then the slightly updulating nature, as well as being into the breeze, of the first half started to tell. Interestingly it wasn't the legs that were the issue, but the engine. V has a plan to work on her base fitness and endurance, and she's shown that when she can support the speed that she has, she'll be blatting her PB's
My legs clearly hadn't run regularly for about 6 weeks. Achilles was fine - took about 5 miles to warm up properly, but otherwise was pretty pleased with how it went.
Tempo run - but well within myself.
