Bewl Water Marathon: 04:58:46 Pos:51/72

More crap. Everybody knows that the best way to run a marathon is to make your fast mile the first mile.

In fairness, this was a bit of a brute of a course, but let's be clear, I went through half way in about 2:19 and ran the second half in about 2:29.

Complete rubbish. This was my 99th marathon and I don't really fancy running another one.

I am now going to hang my shoes up and have at least the next week off. I've concluded that I am suffering from a serious case of over-training.

My resting HR is too high.
My legs are continually heavy and fatigued.
My mood is bad.
My right adductor and groin are buggered.
My appetite for running is zero.

Don't want to talk about it any further.
