Notes & Comments

Oxford Open 800m race. It was scheduled to start at 8.10 but it was more like 9pm by the time my heat started, which completely messed my warm up. I was starting to cool down and stiffen up, tried to keep moving but there was only so much I could do. The race was quite good, we were all packed in tightly with a good first 200m, but then the pace slowed and I was boxed in (should have pushed through). At the bell I was disheartened to hear 62 but pushed through and managed a slightly faster second lap, which is unusual! I had a good race with the lads but only managed to pass one of them. The range of times were around 2.01 to 2.04. We had a 2.05 female in our race too but she had a bad run (something like 2.13).
