fetcheveryone Not a PB, so sorry to all the betters out there - but I am pleased with my effort for a number of reasons: it's very near my PB, and on a course with a proper permit, unlike the charity course I set the PB on... it also is a good performance given the low level of structured training I've done (need more speed work, and more endurance runs, as I suffered towards the end). It's also a PB for the course, by well over 2 minutes, and gets rid of my Yateley sub-50 ghost for good. Spent most of the day worrying about heat and hydration, but 30 seconds before the start, a thunderstorm ripped the place apart, and had me worrying that my contact lenses were going to float out of my eyes - so that was interesting. And finally... I enjoyed bumping in to so many people old and new that I've met through running. So what if they all PB'ed and I didn't? I'll get you all next time I tell you! Worth a bet in race 2 if you're feeling bullish!

Gobi I know the course but will not be pushing at 100%

Yateley is a strange course with a few climbs and drops but on a decent surface so seems fast.
Used a work collegue to pace the first 4Ks then thought it was a little slow so pushed on. Was running very easy all the way to 8K (29:58) was steady through 9 and kicked home with a sub 3:30K to finish. I can go faster than this so a pb achieved without running at 100% and at less than 6mm JUST. I was 40th

Jenn Much faster than I expected to be. Very pleased to get a PB as I didn't think I'd be anywhere near it.

Finished 29th in my category!

Jonny Slightly disappointed with my run, lack of training I guess. I've reached another plateau in terms of my running fitness. Time to get down to some proper hard training if I want to progress.

Konaboy Was intending to suss out the course on this ocassion & try to push for PB in July's event. Got a few markers for the next event now. V. happy with time considering the near monsoon conditions & that the Garmin measured the course 300m long. Also great to meet up with fellow 'Fetchites' at the end. Roll on next month!!

ReadingRob A bit dissappointed, but just not fit enough yet. I am sure there's half a minute at least to come of this - a lot can be done in 5 weeks!

Great to meet fetcheveryone too

Sid I won't get a PB as I haven't trained because of a foot injury. I intend to take it easy and hope to finish in under an hour!
Update - Foot wasn't too painful during to race but it hurts now!!! The downpour at the start of the race was nice and cooling but it did make the roads slippery. Hopefully, my foot will heal in time for the next race and I'll be able to smash my PB!!

Speedy2 Went off too fast, but managed to just about keep going at the end. First sub 40 for Yateley so please with that.

topcorner Woohoo - paced Char for this one. She beat her expected time by a fair margin. Okay, I didn't run anywhere near my limit so Gobi gets my soul this time but Char gets hers back. Great fun - especially the thunderstorm.

Um Bongo Sorry didn't get PB on this one. Due to really bad race last week took this one slowly (a minute under my usual pace) at the start (which is up hill) and then wound it up near the end - pleased with result as close to PB and felt strong throughout (unlike last week) - I am targeting Dorney Dash for PB attempt as its flat as a pancake. Sorry if you bet on me but I did my best.
