Ally2 PB by 1 second. Boring course and shocking mile marking. Mile 1; 5:39, Mile 2 missed marker, mile 3; 16:39 at which point being 15secs outside PB pace I thought how can that be as I was pushing hard and feeling good. Through 4th mile:22:11 so the final mile had to be in 5:09- not a cat in hell chance after 4 miles. With finish coming, a quick look at watch and I'm close to PB so a sprint finish in final 50 gets me a new PB and that supposed 5:09 final mile!!! came 4th.

Boycie This should be a PB.. Course is flat, I am running strong at the moment. It won't be a monster, but 15-20s off given the number of 5m I have run should see some good points! UPDATE: Course is not flat - it is more undulating than Ashby. Wind does not help with fast times either! Damn... Still another strong showing and 28th overall in the race, as the Harriers score max points for the second consecutive race. We could finish the Winter League on top with another good performance at Desford!

Firestarter Official time listed, still a PB. But Garmin measured the course long and that had me at 5 miles in 31:34. An odd race for me, Started, I thought, steadily but Garmin measured the first mile at 6:08 - Much too quick - but the mile marker didn't come up for at least another 100 metres and the watch said 6:23 so on target by the course measurement. Then the times were up and down like a

ThorntonRunner Pleased with this. Was aiming to start at 6:20's and if possible up it in the last mile and a half. In the end did mile paces (not time splits, but Garmin min/mile at splits) of 6:23, 6:19, 6:22, 6:17, 6:21. Consistent and faster than I've run this distance before. Finished 95th man, just disappointed (from a friendly rivalry point of view;)) that was beaten by three Harriers in 91st, 92nd and 94th.
