Guesty Great East Anglia Run - first race after the marathon again, but this year only 2 weeks after. New course starting in the town centre at King's Lynn - much better, although a little narrow in the early stages. The pain in my lower calf/achilles returned at around 3km, but managed to run through it. Did the first 5km in 24.14, thus the 47.38 means a negative split which I was well pleased with - only 42secs outside a pb, with only 4miles training in the last 2 weeks. Shes are rubbing again though in the arches.

Girlie Official time says 1@03:33, Garmin says 1:02:18. so will wait to declare any time until official results have been ratified.
Either way looks like PW, so really sorry to all those folks I conned into betting on me:(

Not sure what went wrong, congested start and getting stuck behind slower runners didn't help.
Managed to avg 10:00(Girlie Pace!) though, and did run all the way apart from through water station.

Enjoyed meeting so many Fetchies though and the medal is fabulous!

Update 9/5/2007 time updated to 1:01:39, so not a pb, but pretty close.

Farby Knee injury meant I hadn't run for 3 weeks before this, so I readjusted my target to 1h10. Really pleased with the result - and the fact the knee is still OK!
