I was talking to Chris from Liswerry on Monday night, he ran the Abergavenny to Halfway leg on the Rack-he said that was hilly too. What's next saint-Castles?

What leg are you doing Daz? Unless you're doing the Builth to Drovers I'm sure you will be fine. I have cycled up the hill to Eppynt, that was bad enough.

We're down to one reserve before I get to do the Castles and I really do hope to get that call. Legs are on the way to recovery and nothing a week in teh south of France won't fix! Otherwise see some of you at Llanelli the week after.

Hello - Yes I think there are only three legs on the Rack Raid that we'd regard as flattish, the leg 12 I did was certainly more tasty than I'd imagined but is still an easier one. However no possible excuses on the Castles as I am doing Leg 17 which is the downhill leg 9.2 miles Beacons Reservoir to Cyfartha Castle. Well done Daz, seems like the Castles don't have such a rigorous door poilcy

With Leg 17 I saw Martin Rees set a fantastic course record of 46 minutes something last year, I'm looking to be under the hour, I wonder if roller blades are absolutely banned ?

Dai - I'm doing Llanbadarn Fynydd to Crossgates (Leg 12), 11.2 miles easy. Cut-offs mean I get 112 minutes to do it! I know I ran a mara 3 days ago, but I could fly that now
It wasn't a desert, just a plod in the sun!

Sorry Daz I hadn't realised that you were up in Embra(presumably?). Well done to you, Some of the blogs I have read suggest that it was a bit of a horror story though
