Just realised it’s 17 alcohol free years for me this January. It seems so natural to not drink these days that neither alcohol or it’s absence are major things in my life (hence don’t post here). For anyone thinking of it, IMO you don’t realise how good things can be, and how little alcohol actually gives for such a high cost until you move beyond it. It’s a cunning little bugger and avoidance is the only true way I can control it. Anyway good luck and enjoy/embrace alcohol free living! |

Thanks all. Decided to message him as I didn’t want to necessarily bring it up in training at Wednesday as there will be other people around (not that there is anything to be embarrassed about but I didn’t want him to potentially feel awkward). He wrote a very nice message back thanking me, and said he’d speak to me on Wednesday. Didn’t want to appear preachy and it sounds like he appreciated my message so hopefully got the tone right, and I’ll take it from there.

Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr)
17 years, many congrats TRO. And great thought - the opposite of "you don't know what you've got until it's gone". With alcohol you don't know what you're missing in life, or baggage you are carrying, until it (alcohol) is gone! G |
